The General Speaks

The surge is working. All of this is silly really. If we stopped trying to appease the unrealistic left, we would fight a non-politically correct war and crush the enemy with overwhelming force ie Afghanistan.

We need to stop being a bunch of sissies in government and use the same killer instinct that our enemy has. We only push back when we are pushed to the wall. The lib's have made everyone think we are no where near the wall and because they are spineless we don't even have backs.

They live in a reality all to themselves. If you don't see the teacher the teacher can't see you. Maybe the Dems should take Osama's advice and embrace Islam, oh wait that would be impossible, Islam has no taxes. But maybe that will be a reason for the Dem's to wage war.

Wait, let me get this straight, George Bush a Republican, with the full backing and support of a Republican controlled congress, gets us into a unnecessary war of choice, conceived of and planned for by Rumsfeld (Republican), Wolfowitz (Republican) Cheney (uber-Republican) and the rest of the (Republican) gang, they utterly ravage and destroy Iraq, millions flee, electricity and water (and other services) are sporadic at best, armed Iraqi militias ("death squads") roam the streets killing everything in sight, terrorists from surrounding nations flow in through the uncontrolled borders, the economy is non-existent as the country is a beyond a failed state, the Democrats vote for every single funding bill proposed, put up very little "real" fight (let's not forget they've controlled congress for a year now and have done nothing) and yet you somehow you find a way to blame them for the strategy that these Republican knuckleheads created and implemented.

Just one question, WTF?

Who's living in a reality "all to themselves?"

By the way, the Taliban have resurfaced in Afghanistan and are gaining more and more control (and killing more of our soldiers) so I wouldn't hold it up as some shining example of our prowess.

And how's this for a thought; the Republicans, who hold themselves up as the strong, machismo party, just gave every f'ing delinquent country and terrorist in the world a blueprint in what to do to bog down, demoralize and win in a war of attrition against the most technologically sophisticated militaries in the world. THEY did that, not the Dems or the "libs," which by the way, are not one in the same but that's a lesson for another time.

I think the problem that you have is not with the Dems but with the American people. Let's not forget they are the populace that overwhelmingly supported this war from the beginning and now that they've realized what it's like to fight a ground war in a sovereign nation with a war plan created by a bunch of dimwitted, chickenhawk Republicans, the reality has been too much for them to bear and they want out. And if you bring up the so-called "liberal media," "only reporting the bad news," I'm going to ask you what liberal channel I can turn to to see the images of the soldiers dying and their coffins coming home because the American public isn't (AT ALL) seeing what's it's really like to die in Iraq like they did for 10 years in Vietnam.

Another quesiton: How do you fight an "enemy" when they're the very same people you're claiming to be liberating?

P.S. It's good to have you back, I was getting lonely!
